Director of Business Development & Legal Affairs (European Countries)

Cictan Biotech Corporation is actively involved in the research and development of new technologies and concepts in cancer prevention. We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate to direct and oversee the ongoing regulatory management planning and business development initiatives for European markets as the Director of Business Development & Legal Affairs (European Countries). Other responsibilities include the managing of legal matters, legal consultation, financial regulations, investment funding sourcing opportunities, market growth generation, business objectives, system development, distribution, and personnel to establish effective international competitiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and consultation on business issues and company strategies
  • Draft, edit and negotiate agreements, contracts and other legal documents
  • Provide litigation support
  • Source and acquire new funding and investor opportunities
  • Financial and legal analysis and assessments for projects and business opportunities
  • European market business development; identify strategic growth opportunities and key strategic risks and areas for continuous improvement
  • Manage all aspects of legal and regulatory undertakings
  • Oversee European product licensing and registrations
  • Developing a thorough understanding of European health & biotech industry market and regulatory environment; develop, manage and assess plans for implementation of strategic legal and financial initiatives
  • Supporting overall corporate strategies and plans
  • Observe, follow, and manage European legal, political, and cultural systems
  • Communicate and coordinate with management and other areas of the company to ensure all department strategic initiatives are in order with other company initiatives and plans
  • Stay informed of external forces, law amendments, economic factors, markets, trends, events impacting successful accomplishment of long range plans and recommend adjustments in strategy as needed
  • Establish and maintain strong strategic working relationships with partners, clients, suppliers, management, staff, and other officials to create a positive long term working environment
  • Set and follow international strategic development goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a management, planning, legal, or finance role in business management, strategic planning, international trade, and/or European law
  • A university degree in business management, economics, commerce, law, finance, international trade or related field is required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of European strategic analysis, financial modeling, business planning functions, and legal matters is ideal
  • Excellent understanding of legal processes, procedures, contracts, agreements, and documents
  • Experience and knowledge in European business culture and customs is preferred
  • International business and management experience
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Proven skill to quickly grasp the core of a business problem and then frame a path to solution
  • Ability to strike balance between hands-on, detailed execution, and strategic focus on the bigger picture
  • Detailed, organized, and good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent influencing skills as well as capability to develop productive relationships throughout the organization
  • Verbal and written communication in French is required. Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin and/or another European language is and asset.
